Research point: Other printmaking students’ blogs

It is a while ago that I made extensive research on printmaking students’ blogs – this was when I began to develop interest in enrolling to the printmaking course. I soaked up what I saw like a sponge and wanted to similar things. But I was reasonable enough not to sign up while I still had two other courses going. I waited patiently until the drawing course was completed.

I’ve read the introduction and preparatory sections of the course materials two or three times already, and now I don’t want to consult what other students did, but work on my own, for a brief period focusing on experimenting and getting to know the materials.

Maybe I’ll open up again to other student’s work once I’ve done the first prints. Maybe I’ll search for inspiration and ideas, or simply want to compare and reflect how I might improve and enrich what I’m doing. But for now I feel I need some work in the privacy of my own study.
